Internship Experience and Exposure

Proof-of-Concept Application Development

Designed and developed multiple proof-of-concept applications using .NET Core (C#, TypeScript, Angular, SQL) to replicate existing system functionalities with production-readiness in mind, including:

  • Warehouse inventory summary and reporting views
  • Sales team analytics dashboards leveraging phone system APIs
  • HR onboarding application for managing new hire workflows
  • Web scraper APIs and sitemap-based data collectors to monitor vendor/distributor inventory

Architecture & Design Principles

Developed familiarity with microservices and domain-driven design (DDD) architecture, learning through discussions on service boundaries, integration, and professional code practices used in the production environment.

Process Automation

Built Microsoft Power Automate workflows as a proof of concept to identify areas where to streamline repetitive departmental tasks—automating email attachment processing, drafting templated responses, and updating Excel sheets—enhancing overall team efficiency.

Team Collaboration & Communication

Joined weekly IT team meetings to understand system architecture and interdepartmental collaboration; delivered presentations on updates related to my projects.

IT Help Support/Technician Operations

Assisted with comprehensive IT infrastructure setup and management operations across enterprise environments:

  • Thin Client Machine Setup: Setting up new thin client machines with monitors, establishing network connectivity, mapping switches and virtual addresses
  • Laptop and Desktop Machine Configuration: Complete machine setup including anti-virus and management software deployments; Windows OS upgrades and migrations; system and partition wiping and resetting; domain joining and device naming
  • Active Directory Management: Moving new machines to organizational units, configuring and assigning permissions, changing passwords, enabling/disabling accounts
  • Management Software Configuration: Configuring thin client machine workspace environments, remote access for troubleshooting and IT support, assigning profiles, apps and settings to machines

Enterprise Manufacturing IT Infrastructure Exposure

Exposure to enterprise manufacturing IT infrastructure across office and warehouse environments. Identified and documented key components including server room specs, wireless IoT communication setups, SCADA systems, VM configurations, storage backup tools, and core software/toolchains. Analyzed how these integrate into the main application ecosystem—spanning user interfaces, APIs, and backend databases—to understand full data and process flows.
